Walking Street officially shuts down somewhere between 02:00 and 04:00, depending on the night and the season. By the time you've walked back up to Beach Road, you're either fed or you have a problem — and most kitchens belong to the latter category, having locked their doors hours ago.
The exceptions cluster on Soi Buakhao and the cross-streets feeding into it: a handful of Thai noodle shops keep their woks fired through dawn for the workers coming off the strip; a few Indian places run 24-hour kitchens for the same reason; the city's late-night pad-krapow stalls do brisk business for the half-hour after club doors open.
What's notably missing in 2026: the all-night chain pizza places that anchored Pattaya's late-night dining a decade ago. They've been quietly retreating as the better independent kitchens started keeping later hours and the Korean fried-chicken specialists took over the demand.
The lesson: if you'd rather plan your late-night refuel than improvise, save a couple of pins on Soi Buakhao before you head out. The 04:00 noodle decision is not the moment to research.
