BUFFET GUIDE · PATTAYA

THE
BUFFETS.

Pattaya does buffets on a grand scale. The beachfront hotels run some of Thailand's best international and seafood spreads — an event, not just a meal. Here's how the scene works, the big rooms, and what you'll actually pay.

01HOW IT WORKS

THE BUFFET SCENE.

Three things to know before you book.

The formats

Most of the action is at the five-star beachfront hotels: daily international dinner buffets, the headline weekend seafood BBQ nights (grilled prawns and squid, oysters and crab on ice, sashimi), plus themed lunch buffets and weekend brunches. The seafood nights are the draw — and the priciest.

The price tiers

The big hotel buffets run roughly 1,200–2,000 baht per person, with weekend seafood nights at the top. The catch is the pricing notation: "++" means service charge and VAT are added on top (about 17.7% combined), while "net" is all-in. A "1,200++" buffet actually costs around 1,400.

What you get

Live cooking stations, a seafood-on-ice spread, carving and grill counters, and a serious dessert section — often with free-flow soft drinks. Alcohol is usually a separate add-on package.

02THE BIG ROOMS

THE HOTEL BUFFETS.

The names worth knowing — all at major beachfront hotels. Nights and prices shift with promotions, so confirm directly before you go.

InterContinental Pattaya — Elements

The "Symphony of Elements" international buffet, plus the headline Marvelous BBQ Seafood Buffet on Saturday evenings (about 6–10pm) — imported oysters, sushi and sashimi, a seafood-on-ice station. Roughly 1,290–1,950 net depending on the night; IHG members get a discount.

Hilton Pattaya — Edge

High above Central Festival with the city's best buffet view. Known for a "7 days, 7 themes" lunch buffet, a weekend brunch, and a daily seafood dinner buffet.

Royal Cliff — Larn Thong

A long-running local favourite: the monthly Grand BBQ Hotel Buffet at Larn Thong, on the last Saturday of the month (about 6:45–10:30pm), around 1,650++.

Pullman Pattaya Hotel G — The Beach Club

A beachfront International Seafood BBQ Buffet (Saturdays), around 1,199++ — one of the better-value seafood nights on the strip.

Dusit Thani Pattaya — The Bay

A seafood dinner buffet with Pattaya Beach views, at the long-established Dusit on the north end of the bay.

03HOW TO DO IT

THE PLAYBOOK.

  • Book the seafood nights ahead. Saturday seafood BBQs sell out; weekday international buffets are easier to walk into.
  • Decode the price. "++" adds ~17.7% on top; "net" is all-in. Compare like for like before you judge value.
  • Check for member & online rates. IHG One Rewards, Hilton Honors and the hotels' own sites often beat the walk-in price.
  • Hit the cold seafood first. Oysters, prawns and sashimi go fastest and are the most expensive thing to restock — start there, pace the rest.

Prices, nights and line-ups change often at hotel buffets — treat the figures above as a guide and confirm with the hotel when you book.

FAQ

QUICK ANSWERS.

Where are the best buffets in Pattaya?

The big beachfront hotels: InterContinental (Elements), Hilton (Edge), Royal Cliff (Larn Thong), Pullman Pattaya Hotel G's Beach Club, and Dusit Thani (The Bay). All feature international and seafood spreads — check the current night and price with the hotel.

How much is a buffet in Pattaya?

The major hotel buffets run roughly 1,200–2,000 baht per person, with weekend seafood nights at the top end. Watch for "++" (service + VAT on top, ~17.7%) versus "net" (all-in), and look for member or online discounts.

Which Pattaya hotels have a seafood BBQ buffet?

InterContinental runs its Marvelous BBQ Seafood Buffet on Saturdays; Pullman's Beach Club and Royal Cliff run dedicated seafood/BBQ nights, and Dusit Thani's The Bay is a seafood dinner buffet with beach views.

Do you need to book a Pattaya buffet?

For the weekend seafood nights, yes — they sell out. Weekday international buffets are easier to walk into, but booking still gets you a better table.

What does "++" mean on a buffet price?

Service charge and VAT are added on top — about 17.7% combined. A "net" price already includes them, so a 1,200++ buffet actually costs around 1,400.
