The 10 Best Pizza Places in Pattaya (Wood-Fired & Otherwise)

Hand-picked. Verified within the last 6 months. No paid placements.

Pizza is one of those dishes that's everywhere in Pattaya but only really good at a handful of places. The best pizzerias here either fly in their flour from Italy, run a Stefano Ferrara or Acunto-style wood oven that gets hot enough for a real Neapolitan crust, or have the kind of pizzaiolo who's spent years training. We focused on consistency above all — pizza should taste the same on a Tuesday lunch as on a Saturday dinner. These ten do.

The ranking

1Mantra Restaurant & Bar
"Mantra opened in 2005 and has spent the next two decades becoming the standard against which other Pattaya restaurants are measured."

The restaurant occupies a sprawling space at the Amari Pattaya on Beach Road, with the dining room organized around six visible cooking stations - Japanese sushi/sashimi/robata, Indian tandoor and curry, Chinese dim sum and wok, Italian wood-fired pizza and pasta, Mediterranean charcoal grill, and a raw seafood bar. The format is unusual: rather...

Order: Sunday Champagne brunch (10:00-15:00), Tandoori mixed grill platter from the live tandoor, Wood-fired Margherita pizza

2Casa Pascal Restaurant
"Casa Pascal is the rare Pattaya restaurant that has earned its reputation through 25 years of consistent operation under the same ownership - a feat almost unique in a city with ferocious restauran..."

Swiss chef Pascal Schnyder and his Korean wife Kim opened the doors on March 17, 2001 on Pattaya 2nd Road, directly opposite Royal Garden Plaza. The restaurant celebrated its silver jubilee with a special anniversary event on March 28, 2026 - a milestone that itself should be the headline of any honest Pattaya restaurant review (the city has had...

Order: Pascal's signature Cannelloni - pasta rolls with meat sauce, baked with white cheese sauce, Tuesday-Sunday Seafood & BBQ Grill Buffet (17:00-21:00), Daily breakfast/brunch buffet (385 THB) - eggs and pancakes made to order

3Bruno's Restaurant & Wine Bar
"Bruno's Restaurant & Wine Bar holds a specific historical title in Pattaya's restaurant scene: it was the city's first independent fine-dining restaurant when it opened in 1996, predating Cafe des ..."

The restaurant was co-founded by two Swiss-European hospitality veterans - Alois Fassbind and Bruno Forrer - with their head chef Chef Fredi as the kitchen's culinary anchor. Nearly 30 years later, the same trio still anchors the operation. Located at 306/63 Chateau Dale Plaza on Thappraya Road in South Pattaya / Jomtien, the restaurant occupies...

Order: 6-Course Wine Pairing Dinner, Tenderloin of Beef on Gratin Potatoes (signature since 1996), Oven-Baked Parrot Fish Filet

4Wine Connection Tapas Bar & Bistro
"Wine Connection is Pattaya's go-to casual wine destination - a Singapore-founded chain that has become a city staple thanks to a single defining commercial decision: bottle wine pricing roughly hal..."

In a city where restaurant wine markups typically run 3-5x retail, Wine Connection's 2x or under markup feels almost charitable. This pricing strategy isn't accidental - the chain operates as both restaurant and wine retailer, so the same bottle you drink with dinner can be purchased to take home at the same price (no corkage if drinking in - ju...

Order: Spanish paella, Charcuterie & cheese board, Wood-fired pizza Margherita

5Marco's Restaurant
"Marco's Restaurant has been doing the same thing on Pattaya Beach Road since the late 1990s, and that consistency is the reason it has outlasted dozens of trendier competitors."

The owner, Marco Rossi, is an Italian who came to Pattaya in the mid-1990s and never left. He runs the kitchen, occasionally checks tables, and personally assembles wine recommendations for regulars. The restaurant has expanded twice but kept its identity: a proper trattoria menu, fair prices, no fusion gimmicks.

Order: Pizza margherita, Spaghetti alle vongole, Fettuccine bolognese

6Bacco Beach Italian Restaurant
"Bacco Beach delivers what its name promises: a beachfront Italian restaurant on the Na Jomtien sand with proper trattoria food."

Wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta, grilled seafood, and a focused Italian wine list. The setting is the draw - low wooden tables, fairy lights, and a soundtrack of waves. Sunset is mandatory.

7Gian's Italian Restaurant
"Gian's has been the gold standard for Italian fine dining in Pattaya since 2006."

Located in the Chateau Dale Complex on Thappraya Road, the menu is classical northern Italian - homemade pasta, osso buco, branzino al sale, and an impressive wine list focused on Italian regions. The space is elegant without being stiff. Reliable for special occasions and consistently the answer to 'where's the best Italian in Pattaya?'

8Cherry Tree Italian Restaurant
"Cherry Tree is what happens when an Italian moves to Thailand, marries a Thai woman, and instead of opening a generic 'Italian-Thai fusion' place, opens a restaurant aggressively committed to doing..."

Located on a quiet Naklua side street, the restaurant has built its reputation slowly and through word of mouth - it's not on the typical tourist circuit, doesn't market aggressively on Instagram, and is mostly populated by Italian and German expats and a small but loyal Thai clientele. The pasta is the star. Hand-rolled and hand-cut daily, you ...

9Capannina
"Capannina is the kind of small Italian restaurant that exists in every Italian beach town - utterly unpretentious, family-run, completely ignored by tourists, and quietly excellent."

The Pratumnak location was probably accidental: the owner-chef arrived in Pattaya in the early 2010s after a lifetime of cooking in Florence and Rome, and chose Pratumnak because his wife (Thai) had family there. The result is a restaurant that feels like it was airlifted from the Tuscan hills and dropped into a Pratumnak garden, complete with c...

Pizza ordering rule: order the simplest version on the menu (Marinara or Margherita) at any new place. If those aren't excellent, the fancier versions usually aren't either. Also: real Neapolitan pizza arrives soft and slightly soupy in the center — that's correct. If yours is rigid and cracker-like, it's not Neapolitan, it's something else.
