South Pattaya — the working strip

South Pattaya is the southern end of the central strip, running down toward the Pratumnak-Jomtien border. It is denser in halal and Muslim-family-run kitchens than the rest of central Pattaya, with a slow-burning anchor scene around Amir Halal and the Soi Boukhao halal corridor.

One of the guide's ranked restaurants is in South Pattaya: Amir Halal Food (South Pattaya's Muslim-family-run halal Thai seafood institution — fresh tank-to-table seafood with halal preparation). The broader South Pattaya halal corridor extends into multiple Soi Boukhao and Thappraya addresses.

Reach South Pattaya from central Pattaya in 8–12 minutes, from Jomtien in 6–10 minutes. Walking is feasible during cooler hours along the main strip.

SOUTH PATTAYA BY MOMENT

  • Halal Thai seafood: Amir Halal Food — Muslim-family-run, tank-to-table Thai seafood with halal preparation.
  • Greek street grill: Olympian Greek Souvlaki on 3rd Road — Thessaloniki-style souvlaki in pita, grilled to order (official site).

"South Pattaya is where the halal kitchens live. Fewer tourists, more locals. A different food map."
